Water Service
The City of St. Clair has a Water Treatment Facility, a 250 gpm well and a 200,000 gallon water tower. The Water Treatment Facility & well went into service in 2008. The water tower went into service in 2009.
The Public Works Dept. maintains the Water Treatment Facility, municipal wells, water tower, water hydrants, water mains, and water distribution system, providing a continuous water supply to the City of St. Clair.
They also maintain customer water meters and respond to other service requests; conform to all State and Federal monitoring rules; and maintain proper water levels to ensure everyday in-home usage and fire protection for customers.
WATER RATES
$21.50 base rate
$8.00 for each 1,000 gallons of water used
GARDEN METER
St. Clair residents may purchase a second water meter, from the City, for outside water use.
Sewer rates are not charged on the water used through the garden meter.
Contact the City Clerk at 245-3494 for more information or to obtain a garden meter.
PLEASE NOTE: The City does not install the garden meter. Meters should be installed by a licensed plumber.
RESIDENTIAL WATER HOOK-UP FEE
The water hook-up fee is the fee charged to allow an individual residential water service line to connect to the City water main.
