Memorial Park

Memorial Park consists of 7.8 acres located in the eastern portion of the City at 105 Miller Lane. Baseball hoops are placed at either end of the parking lot to make efficient use of the paved area.

PAVILION

The Memorial Park pavilion offers indoor seating, restrooms and a storage area. The pavilion was designed with a deep 6' overhang around all sides of the building to provide weather protection even when the interior is locked. The pavilion is a great hit with school groups, civic organizations and family gatherings.

PICNIC SHELTER

The open picnic shelter is located in a quiet portion of the park, allowing a shaded area from which to enjoy a lazy lunch or just sit back and relax.

PLAYGROUND AREAS

Memorial Park offers 3 playground areas, the the Tot Lot is geared to the "under 5" crowd, along with an area designated for grade-schoolers and a third area designated for young teens. All new playground equipment was installed in the summer of 2014, replacing the playground equipment installed in the early 1990's when Memorial Park was initially developed.

SOFTBALL AND SOCCER

The Memorial Park softball field is a busy place with games scheduled from early spring through to mid-summer. In the fall the field changes personality and becomes a soccer field. VOLLEYBALL

A sand volleyball court is also located in Memorial Park.

SLIDING HILL

Just south of the volleyball court is the sliding hill ... enjoyed by many each winter!
