EMERALD ASH BORER (EAB)
Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was positively identified in St. Clair on March 25th. Several infested trees were identified within and near Memorial Park.
These trees have been infected for four or five years, hence EAB has been spreading throughout St. Clair for several years. If you have an ash tree on your property it will most likely die from Emerald Ash Borer within the next five (5) years.
Infected ash trees quickly break apart, even while still green, posing a hazard to property and human life. Consider removing your ash tree(s) in the near future.
