ZONING REVIEW
All Building Permit Applications are reviewed to ensure compliance with the City Zoning Ordinance.
When a Building Permit Application is received, it is not only reviewed to ensure compliance with the State Building Code, but it is also reviewed to ensure that the project complies with the performance standards, setbacks, and lot/structure requirements set forth in the City Zoning Ordinance.
For many projects, it is apparent during the review process that the project meets all Zoning requirements and no further zoning action is necessary. In other instances, a Variance, Conditional Use or other zoning action may be required.
